We woke up late and ditched our plan to sail to Chichester harbour as it would have been directly upwind and hard work so bailed out and decided to go downwind to Cowes and up the Medina to the Folly Inn. We were soon out of Portsmouth harbour and broad reached across the eastern Solent and then gybed backwards and forward to keep outside of the main shipping channel as there was a little bit of commercial traffic. Soon up to the pontoon opposite the Folly Inn and tidied up Harvard and paid our mooring fee. Then Richard updated this blog and Anne enjoyed some quiet time reading.
