As soon as it was light we were up and happy to drop the mooring as it was uncomfortable at times. Anne had slept in the saloon as it was marginally more comfortable but was up and dressed before the alarm went off. Once to the north of the islands it was rough in places, with overfalls, but no wind so we motored on eastwards.

What little wind there was came from behind us and with a quartering sea we made reasonable progress. It was just a bit boring so we kept watch one hour on, one hour off, and this helped pass the time. Passed the Wolf Rock lighthouse and arrived at the Lizard as we had planned, even a little early, which meant we carried the favourable tide all the way to the Manacles, which was a bonus.

Of course as always the wind arrived just as we were completing our passage back to the Helford River. We were soon anchored on the south side of the estuary as the forecast wind was south westerly and this promised to be a sheltered position. We tidied Harvard up and after a quick supper we were soon asleep after a long day. 12 hours from dropping the buoy at Tresco to anchoring in the Helford River.
