The first thing we did was have a quick shower and took our washing to the service laundrette. It is much more efficient than feeding pound coins into the marina washing machines and tumble driers that never seem to work properly. Then after the usual coffee stop and a little bit of shopping we took the ferry over to Flushing and walked over the hill to Mylor marina where our friends Tony, Alethea and dog Winnie have their boat that they are in the process of selling. We had a lovely lunch with them, catching up on all their news and then walked back to Flushing along the coast to take the ferry back to Falmouth.

Then it was back up the hill to collect our washing and have a drink at a small pub just off the “beaten track”. It was one of those places where all conversation stops when you walk in!! We found a seat in the corner and were pretty much ignored after that!

Back on Harvard it was nice to have clean sheets to sleep in and we packed, ready to catch the train the next day.
