Saturday, 12 July – Falmouth

Went ashore and did a little bit of shopping and had the habitual coffee stop. After dropping the mooring we filled up with diesel (and petrol for the outboard) and water. Quite a queue so we had to drift around until our turn came to go alongside the fuel berth. Then we chugged across the harbour to the east side and anchored in the lee of the Roseland Peninsular between St Mawes and St Just in the company of quite a few other boats. By now the wind had already gone easterly so it was the right place to be. Pretty tired after babysitting and travelling so just mulched onboard for the remainder of the afternoon. Very hot, too much to be on deck, so we sat below and watched the Wimbledon ladies final which turned out to be a little bit disappointing.
