We were up early and caught the ebb out of the harbour and motored and sailed a bit all the way to the Folly on the Medina. No problems and as it was a Monday it was very quiet with plenty of space to moor on the dead pontoon opposite the pub. We blew up the dinghy and tried motoring up towards Newport but it was really bumpy and wet with wind against tide so we soon turned back and packed the dinghy away. Anne was still a little hampered by her bad knee but the very kind ferryman that came to collect the mooring fee helped her back onboard.
At least we have now tried almost everything we need for a longer cruise, so we are quite pleased so far.
