Anne had a rough night as her left hip was really hurting so we decided to head home. A bit grey and overcast to start with but once outside Cowes harbour we hoisted sail and went quite well until halfway up Southampton Water when the wind fell really light. Put the sails away and followed a big containership up to Marchwood. After the ship had docked we tied up to the pontoon where we unloaded unused provisions, clothes for the wash, etc. After lunch we towed the dinghy up to the mooring and left Harvard safe and secure. Then a short drive home and the end of our shakedown cruise. Not sure when we will be off again, but watch this space!!
Post blog entry note: Anne diagnosed with Bursitis after seeing the musculoskeletal team at the surgery, so hope it goes away soon. Probably a result of our long walk at Bembridge after a few weeks of no exercise because of the flu!
