We definitely needed a walk so we were soon ashore and bought a couple of pasties for our lunch before heading off for the coastal path going west. A lovely walk up to the day mark above Fowey on the Gribbin where we stopped to have an early break and eat our provisions.

Carried on to the village of Polkerris where there is a pub and we stopped for a drink (non-alcoholic!!). Then it was back up the steep hill to join the Saints Way that joins Fowey to Padstow. Soon back to where we had started after a good walk of about 4 hours. We had left our clean clothes in a harbour locker so we then went to the Royal Fowey Yacht Club for a shower. Very nice but quite expensive at £4 for a 4 minute shower!! After a little bit of shopping we went back to Harvard. The forecast was for a near gale and we moved along the pontoon to make room for a yacht that had diverted from Mevagissey because of the forecast. It did start to rain and look stormy and just as we getting ready to sleep we decided to fit the snubbers in all the mooring lines as there was some swell coming in to the harbour. This was a good move and we slept well.
