Tuesday, 28 May, Craighouse, Jura

It was a bit of a bumpy night on our mooring buoy and the day started with rain and the wind in the wrong direction to go south. We mulched onboard most of the day, reading books, until, at around 4 o’clock, it brightened up. Emptied the rainwater out of the dinghy and quickly whizzed over to the pontoon to do some shopping before the store closed at 5 o’clock. After shopping it was cake and drinks at the cafe before heading back to Harvard.

By this time the wind had come up and the weather was not looking great so we hurriedly packed the dinghy away and headed down below for supper. The forecast is more promising for tomorrow so our intention is to set off for Port Ellen on Islay in the morning.

Spectacular clouds over Jura as it slightly brightened up in the afternoon.
