One of the reasons we had left the Scillies was that the forecast was pretty horrible with strong westerly winds and rain predicted. It was accurate and we spent the whole day at anchor with heavy rain showers and strong winds whistling through the rigging. We just sat tight and read our books and recovered from our long day yesterday.
