Wednesday, 23 July – River Yealm to Plymouth

Set off reasonably early and motored all the way to Plymouth and Sutton Harbour. We had stayed here before and knew it is a safe place to leave Harvard for an extended period of time. There is a swinging footbridge and lock to pass first but we soon through and found our pre-booked space without difficulty and there was even a member of the harbour staff waiting to take our lines.

After showers we walked into the city centre and Anne carried on up to the station to take the train to London for babysitting duties.
